Stargazing
Just a stone throw from our backyard, nearby Cherry Springs State Park is widely recognized as one of the best stargazing sites in the northeast, and as such, is host to thousands of stargazers from all over the world. Two major star parties are held here each year.
Right here in Potter County Pennsylvania, Cherry Springs has one of the darkest skies on the eastern seaboard. The visibility is so good that ordinances have even been enacted to minimize any possible light pollution from nearby cities.
The astronomy field offers a 360 degree view and is setup to provide the best stargazing conditions possible. The surrounding forrest provides an ideal shield to protect the pristine lighting conditions.
The field is know for it’s view of the nucleus of the Milky Way Galaxy.
If you’re a stargazer, Cherry Springs State Park is the place to be and Triple Creek Farms is the place to rest.
